CLIENT SERVICE SUPPORT CLERK - SUMMER STUDENT
Canada Summer Jobs Temporary Contract, June 15, 2026 – Aug 14, 2026 (9 weeks)
30 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM
$17.81 per hour + mileage when visiting clients or delivering Meals on Wheels

The Role: This summer student position supports the Client Services Team through a variety of administrative and client-facing tasks, working collaboratively with client services, administration and other departments on special projects.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Research and compile community resources for low-income and vulnerable clients
  • Complete home visits to onboard clients to free programs and services in the community
  • Data entry, including reviewing and updating client files with information gathered from home visits
  • Assist with other client programs such as making reassurance calls, supporting the friendly visiting program, and portering meals
  • Making check-in calls to clients and documenting those calls appropriately
  • Enthusiasm to support client services and other teams/departments with client and administrative duties
  • Deliver Meals on Wheels

Requested Skills/Qualifications
  • This job is funded through Canada Summer Jobs 2026, and to be eligible applicants must:
    • be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
    • be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and
    • be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant Ontario legislation and regulations, including having a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment
  • Successful candidate must be available to work for the entire 9-week contract
  • Valid G or G2 Driver’s License, and daily access to a safe, licensed and reliable vehicle to visit client homes and deliver meals
  • Current Emergency First Aid and CPR Level A Certificate (or be willing acquire by time of employment)
  • Satisfactory police records check for the vulnerable sector
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Superior multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Superior attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for working with people
  • Experience using and operating office equipment
  • Experience with older adults, volunteers and/or persons with diverse abilities is an asset
  • Ability to communicate in language other than English an asset
